Quick Start

Install the program by double clicking on "Setup" and following the prompts.

Install the Visual Basic Runtime Libraries by running "vbrun60sp5".

Start up Anarchy Online, and then run the Item Loader program. With Item Loader running, you can let the program know about your backpack contents by opening a back in your inventory. When you've inventoried all the packs you want, close the Item Loader.

Next run the Item Parser. Enter a name for the subdirectory (such as your character's name) in the Output Directory box, enter your user name and Anarchy Online folder location in the Options screen, and then click on the Create Report button. The parsed files will be in the subdirectory that you chose as the Output Directory.

What is the Anarchy Online Inventory System?

The Anarchy Online Inventory System (AOIS) is a series of programs that writes the names of items contained in backpacks or on your character (such as implants and armor) to a file. It does this by reading in the contents of a backpack and matches the raw data found against the corresponding name in AO's database.

Why did you make this?

I wrote this because managing inventories on multiple characters can be overwhelming. Many times I've placed an important item into an alt's backpack only to forget which alt and which backpack. AOIS was made with this in mind; by writing inventory lists for their characters, a player could easier keep track of what items are on a particular character.

How do I use it?

AOIS consists of two programs, the Item Loader and the Item Parser. Item Loader will read the contents of your backpacks, and Item Parser will sort through the raw data and make your lists.

Prior to using the programs, please install the Visual Basic Runtime Libraries. Most modern computers already have these files in place, but the Item Parser will fail if the Libraries are not installed. The libraries can be installed by running the program "vbrun60sp5" included with AOIS (it's a quick install).


Directions for reading in backpack information

STEP ONE
Loading in your items

1. Start up Anarchy Online. Windowed mode is probably easiest to work with in this.

2. Start up the Item Loader program. When the program has loaded, switch back to Anarchy Online.

3. Backpacks are read to the server when either a pack is opened, or a back is moved from your bank to your inventory.

For the best results open packs only once, preferably in a low-lag environment such as inside a shop.

4. Close the Item Loader program by pressing the "Ok" button.

STEP TWO
Parsing your items

1. Start up the Item Parser program.

2. Choose the output directory - all created files will go into this directory. If you leave this blank, it will use a default directory called "My Inventory Results".

3. Press the Options key. Press the "Browse" key to find your Anarchy Online installation folder, and then return to the main menu. Note that once this step has been done, the program will store this location and this step will not need to be repeated for future inventory runs.

4. Choose the server you would like to have your items reference, either Auno’s at www.auno.org or one of Jayde’s at www.aomainframe.net (.com, .info) by clicking the button next to the name.

5. If you want to filter out NODROP and/or UNIQUE items, unselect the “Include NODROP (or UNIQUE) items in results” box or boxes.

6. Press the Create Report key. This will tell the program to start analyzing your items.

7. When the program is finished, close Item Parser. The results are in the directory that you chose, in the following formats -

text_pack.txt Unformatted text, sorted by backpack
text_alpha.txt Unformatted text, sorted by category alphabetically
text_ql.txt Unformatted text, sorted by category in order of QL
html_pack.html HTML format, sorted by backpack
html_alpha.html HTML format, sorted by category alphabetically
html_ql.html HTML format, sorted by category in order of QL
ubb_pack.txt UBB (forum code) format, sorted by backpack
ubb_alpha.txt UBB (forum code) format, sorted by category alphabetically
ubb_ql.txt UBB (forum code) format, sorted by category in order of QL
parsed_pipe.txt pipe-seperated format (details below)

Un petit guide sur l'installation(traduction du readme anglais) de AOIS et quelques recommandations.


1. Downloadez la dernière version AOIS: http://ao.halorn.com/aois2.2.8.zip

2.Unzip(Winzip, Winrar) dans un dossier de votre choix

3.Partez Anarchy Online en Window Mode

4.Ouvrez le programme Item Loader.exe (fenêtre DOS)

5.Retournez à AO , les backpack sont lus quand ouvert, dans un environnement sans LAG , 1 à la fois. Une fois ouvert tout les backpack , fermez Item Loader.exe

6.Ouvrez Item Parser.exe

7. Dans "Name of Output Directory" mettez le nom du dossier (Important que pour vous y retrouver)


8.** Appuyez sur "Options" et montre au programme où se trouve le Dossier Anarchy Online (ex: C:/Program Files/Funcom/Anarchy Online)

9. Choisissez de montrer les items NODROP et UNIQUE ou non

10. Appuyez sur "Create Report"

11. Attends qu'il finisse .. un Dossier sera crée dans le dossier *\aois2.2.8\AO Inventory System\ portant le nom choisi dans "Name of Output Directory"

12. Ensuite vous aurez le choix dans ce nouveau dossier de copier/coller du code TXT simple, HTML (Page web), ou du code pour Forums (ubb) avec des sous choix , par backpack, par categorie, alphabétiquement...

13. Et voilà il ne restes plus qu'a copier / coller le ubb de votre choix dans votre forum ou page web(html format)!



Notes

N'oubliez pas que si votre ordi rame aka est pourri il faut penser à fermer tout les programmes sauf AO et baisser les fenetres dans la barre (diminuer ) pendant la création de votre liste (pour que le leet bouge plus vite)

Si vous avez un problème quand vous recréez une liste d'item et que des items d'autre backpack s'y ajoutent, tout simplement effacer le fichier AOIS_temp qui devrais se trouver à la racine du C:\  (faire une recherche) , et en l'effaçant tout sera remis à neuf.
